7445 50 Avenue (Gaetz ave north)(east side) Cheers (North) - Red Deer AB - OCTOBER 3rd, starting around 8pm 'til yer done! (oh hey, hit REFRESH if the previous date is still there) Coming From Calgary or Edmonton To Cheers (North)? Alright troops, I've employed the use of the virtual green magic marker once again to make this as easy as humanly possible. Finding this place is rather easy, really. FROM CALGARY ![]() Coming from Calgary, you'll be heading over the Red Deer River. The next exit is for 67th Street (Exit 401). You'll want to head east (to the right) onto 67th Street. NOT over the highway. You will continue travelling down 67th until you reach Gaetz Ave (AKA 50th ave). ![]() Turn left onto Gaetz, heading north. It's a three-lane road (each side) so you'll want to make sure you're in the far right lane once you're on Gaetz. When you see the McDonald's sign (how can we miss such an atrocity? lol), you'll be passing it and turning right onto 74th Street. When you turn on to 74th, you'll be making an immediate left onto the service road that runs parallel with Gaetz Ave. Cheers North will be on your right, a little way down the street. Yellow sign on the building. I recommend leaving your car at your hotel if at all possible, to avoid parking calamity (plus if you stay at one of the recommended hotels, the cab ride ain't that expensive, especially if you're sharing the cab with a friend). FROM EDMONTON ![]() Coming from Edmonton, you will be passing the official "Welcome to Red Deer" sign and then you will see a series of signs pointing towards Sylvan Lake via highway 11a. Don't get confused by this exit. Exit 405B is NOT the exit you want (it heads west). Exit 405A is what you're looking for, which takes you UNDER the overpass, on a cloverleaf exit. It will shoot you east on highway 11a. ![]() Turn right on to Gaetz Ave, heading south. Get in to the left hand lane and keep a lookout for 76th Street. You'll be turning left (east) on to 76th Street. From there you immediately make a right turn into the service road (parallel to Gaetz ave) still heading south, and you will see Cheers North's yellow sign on your left. I recommend leaving your car at your hotel if at all possible, to avoid parking calamity (plus if you stay at one of the recommended hotels, the cab ride ain't that expensive, especially if you're sharing the cab with a friend). If you're going to this thing and you live IN Red Deer, and you aren't sure where it is? Ah c'mon... lol. The map's right there. Or call a cab, they'll get ya there. Cheers (North) 7445 50 Avenue (Gaetz ave north)(east side) Red Deer, AB I will have a list of hotels up on the first page of the POF site thread. Be There, Or Be... well, somewhere else I guess. |
